The Exhibitions Special Interest Group was formed in 2016 to advocate for exhibitions in libraries and for library professionals doing exhibit work.
We are interested in exploring topics such as library exhibitions, exhibition planning, policies, exhibition management, exhibition standards, strategic partners, programming, engagement, and funding opportunities.
Over the years the Exhibitions SIG has organized professional development and programming opportunities. In 2021 we authored ARLIS/NA Library Exhibitions Best Practices for use in the field. In Spring 2023, we launched our own publication, the Library Exhibitions Review!
